Meet Your Hosts!
Hi, I’m Ryn! In 2018, I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, ER/PR+, HER 2- breast cancer. I had a double mastectomy at the end of 2018 with expanders, followed by implant reconstruction in 2019.
My mental and emotional health was intact thanks to the methods and tools I used and now teach my clients to use today, known as The Sloane Healing Method™.
My passion is helping others who have been impacted by cancer, to find hope and reclaim their power!
I’m a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, an absolute animal-lover, P!nk (the singer) is my most favorite human I’ve never met (YET) and I’m a can’t-live-without-music kind of chick and a retired hair stylist!
I’m a smart-ass with a heart of gold and can’t wait to support you!
Heya! I'm Candice! I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer when I was 29. I had a hell of a time after my surgeries, chemo, and hormone therapy when I was diagnosed with PTSD and spent 6 years battling the darkness within my mind.
I was in remission for almost 8 years when they found tumors throughout my body, which led to a Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer diagnosis at 37. I was told I had a year to live but have since proved them wrong and am going strong after 3 years!
I'm thrilled and honored to partner with Ryn on the Ashes of Courage community! With my Peer Support background, mental health experience, and cancer history, I believe helping others navigate through their cancer journeys is my purpose in life.
Here are some fun facts about me:
I was a DJ for many years and even DJed on a paddlewheel boat!
My first real job was at a small video store where I began a lifelong passion for movies (and sour cream & onion Pringles).
Believe it or not, I'm happier now, at 40 years old and with a terminal illness, than I have ever been in my entire life!
